March Feature: Rebecca Morgan Frank

Poet Rebecca Morgan Frank will read from her collected works virtually on Sunday, March 14 at 7:00pm Central. The reading is free and open to the public. 

Rebecca Morgan Frank’s fourth collection of poems is Oh You Robot Saints! (Carnegie Mellon UP). Her poems have recently appeared in The New YorkerAmerican Poetry Review32 PoemsWomen’s Review of BooksPleiadesPloughshares, and The Kenyon Review. She is co-founder and editor of the online literary journal Memorious.

Poets and readers from the community will precede the feature. 

In addition to her reading, Rebecca Morgan Frank will lead a virtual workshop entitled “First Lines, First Moves” on March 14 at 2:00PM. In this workshop, participants will explore different approaches to bringing readers into a poem. Participants will read and discuss different moves of first lines and try them out in their own poems as opportunities for generative inspiration or surprising revisions. Participants are welcome to bring existing drafts to work with or to focus on starting new poems. 

Registration is free, though a suggestion donation of $5 is encouraged.
