Join us on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at 2:00pm Central for a generative workshop with featured poet Noor Hindi.

Everything but the Kitchen Sink: A Poetry Workshop on Messiness, Chaos, and the Seemingly Random

Dinosaurs. Nose piercings. Vintage pleasures. How can we use ordinary and everyday images as paths into the emotional landscapes of our poems? How can these images serve as metaphor, as humor, as resistance? In this workshop, we’ll explore poems by Chen Chen, Tommy Pico, Erika Meitner, and Sandra Simonds to study how humor, inventive line breaks, and the use of the confessional can serve as gateways into our poems’ argument.
