Join us on Sunday, July 16, 2023 at 2:00pm Central for a generative workshop with featured poet Nen G. Ramirez.

Puzzle Poems: a Workshop on Invented Forms

In this workshop, Nen G Ramirez will introduce you to two of their invented forms inspired by logic and language puzzles, the sudoku sestina and the container puzzle. They will break down the characteristics of each form and how they were born in hospital settings from the need to discuss self-advocacy and autonomy within psychiatric treatment and to challenge the concept of the Recovery Narrative. They will also discuss the process of inventing one’s own form and the possibilities that can emerge from constraint.
